Now Hiring - Sales Coordinator in Sterling Heights, MI

Summary of Position:

Responsible for the coordination of all activities associated with orders once received from sales. This includes, but is not limited to, order input into our operating system, verification of customer requirements, forwarding of information to the supplier, sales order creation and maintenance, order management and tracking, and order expediting.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide sales support to the new business development team
• Provide sales and contract administration support, quoting, order entry, shipping arrangement, and inventory management
• Entering lead, contact, and account information into the customer relationship management system (CRM)
• Answering customer questions regarding their account
• Working with cross-functional departments for a new customer setup process: Finance, Credit, Operations, New Business, Legal, etc.
• Working with the transportation and warehouse teams to coordinate shipments
• Troubleshooting and problem solving for future, new, and existing customers
• Work with marketing and new business development to prepare and gather reports, RFP responses, forecast and status reports of various projects
• Market research and building prospect lists for the new business development team

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or comparable experience
• Excellent Excel Skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Basic computer skills in order to assemble and process orders and information in a timely and efficient manner. SAP knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Effective communication and listening skills necessary when answering phone calls from customers and associating with peers.

Desired:

• 1 to 2 years experience in sales or office support
• Exposure to the concept of movement of goods or logistics is a plus

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
